What is a sailing trip like with reSAILience?

How do our trips work?

The offer

Basically, our offer is aimed at all people who are struggling with a serious illness. We generally try to offer certain trips for people with a common underlying illness so that a meaningful and enriching exchange is possible. You can find more information about this in the respective trip description.

Requirements

  • Age: 18–45 years
  • Underlying disease depending on the trip offered
  • Before or more than three months after therapy or a medical certificate of clearance
  • Normal physical fitness

Costs

  • Arrival/departure (to be organized individually, carpool upon consultation)
  • Contribution per person to the trip costs (7 days): €280. Your participation should not depend on your financial resources. That’s why we also have a scholarship.
  • reSAILience e.V. bears the remaining costs.
  • Additionally, there will be an on-board cash register for shared meals.

more information

Before the trip

  • You can find everything you need to take with you for the sailing trip in our packing list.
  • On site you will receive a detailed safety briefing on all relevant topics on board from our skipper.
  • We plan the itinerary together based on current weather and sailing conditions.
  • The crew creates a meal plan and then shops for it together.

During the trip

  • We adjust our planned route every day depending on wind and weather conditions so that we reach our destination safely.
  • Depending on the area, weather and mood, we will either anchor in sheltered bays or put into ports for the night.
  • We usually cook on board. But in case we don't feel like it anymore, we can also stop off on land.
